Board to discuss
JACKSON – The state Board of Funeral Service meets today in Flowood to discuss allegations a crematorium owner mishandled human remains.
Mark Seepe, owner of Seepe Funeral Home and Crematorium, has come under scrutiny following claims he allegedly commingled bone fragments from cremations in a 55-gallon drum, dumped partially cremated remains in a trash bin and gave the wrong remains to relatives of the dead.
Seepe has not responded to numerous messages from The Associated Press and would not acknowledge an AP reporter at the crematorium last week.
The Board of Funeral Service governs the funeral industry in Mississippi.
