Bryant appoints several Miss. agency directors

JACKSON – Mississippi Gov.-elect Phil Bryant is appointing new leaders for some state agencies and keeping a few department directors in their jobs.
Bryant announced the appointments Monday, a day before his inauguration.
Keeping their jobs are Corrections Commissioner Christopher Epps, Public Safety Commissioner Albert Santa Cruz, Bureau of Narcotics director Marshall Fisher and Department of Finance and Administration director Kevin Upchurch.
Trudy Fisher remains as director of the Department of Environmental Quality, and Bill Walker remains as head of the Department of Marine Resources.
Bryant’s new appointees include David Dzielak at Medicaid, Mark Henry at the Department of Employment Security, Rickey Berry at the Department of Human Services.
Robert Latham, a previous director of the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, returns to the job he held six years. He left in 2006.
