TUPELO – Buffalo Wild Wings will give away a year’s worth of free wings when it opens next month.
General Manager Jay Osgood said the restaurant is on track to open Jan. 22 in Tupelo Commons, near Lowe’s.
For the opening, Osgood said BWW will give away free wings to the first 100 people in line. The gift will be six free wings every week for a year, Osgood said.
He expects the grand opening will be at 11 a.m. that Sunday.
Construction on the location is moving along swiftly. Crews started work on the interior of the building this week. The exterior is getting BWW’s traditional color scheme of yellow, black and white.
The business started taking applications Monday, and Osgood said he received about 350 applications in four days. He hopes to hire about 120 employees. He’s taking applications for cooks, servers, hosts, cashiers and bartenders.
Potential employees must apply in person at the hiring center trailer on the site. Applications are accepted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day of the week. The hiring center will be closed Christmas day.
Training starts Jan. 15.
