FULTON – Bond has been revoked for a burglary suspect now accused of conspiring to murder witnesses in the case.
Late Thursday evening, deputies with the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department arrested Matthew Graham, 43, at his home on John Rankin Highway in Fulton. Graham was out on bond for his suspected involvement in an early July burglary of a Fairview area home.
According to Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson, Graham was arrested for allegedly conspiring to kill a co-conspirator.
Dickinson said a second suspect, whose name is not being released at this time, was also arrested in connection with the alleged conspiracy. Agents will the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshal’s Office arrested this second suspect Thursday night in Tishomingo County.
Graham allegedly tried to pay to have the witnesses killed. The sheriff said money had exchanged hands, resulting in the arrests.
The Sheriff said the arrests were the result of tips provided by confidential informants and an undercover investigation on the part of the MBI.
