BLUE MOUNTAIN – Duane Bullard on Tuesday was named the development officer for Blue Mountain College.
Bullard will retire as president of the Tippah County Development Foundation on Dec. 31 and begin his BMC job on Jan. 2
“BMC has been a big part of my life for more than 30 years,” Bullard said. “I’m ready for a new challenge and excited that it will be as part of the BMC family.”
“Blue Mountain College is extremely blessed by the opportunity to add to its staff someone of Duane Bullard’s integrity and experience,” said BMC President Barbara Childers McMillin. “Duane’s knowledge of north Mississippi combined with his love for the college will certainly yield great results as we continue to move the college forward.”
He replaces Jill West, who recently resigned from the post.
Before joining the TCDF, Bullard was vice president of sales and marketing at Dixie-Net Communications, and spent 12 years with Northeast Mississippi Community College in economic development and as executive director of the NEMCC Development Foundation.
Bullard, 61, earned a master’s degree in administration from the University of North Alabama. He also is a graduate of the McLean Leadership Institute at the University of Mississippi.
