CORINTH – A downtown business owner received approval Tuesday to keep a freestanding sign in place temporarily pending appropriate review.
Jennifer Brown, owner of J. Brown’s on Waldron Street, asked the board to allow her sign at Cass and Foote streets to remain in place until she presents her request to the planning board at its May 23 meeting.
Brown was cited by the code enforcement officer last week for an improper sign and directed to remove it.
She said the sign had been in place a month and the notice to remove it did not allow her time to present her request to the planning commission.
The board unanimously approved the request.
