TUPELO – Creative Cakes is opening an offshoot business this fall in Fairpark.
The store, also owned by Rose McCoy, will be called Rosie’s Cookies, Cakes and Cream.
The menu features cookies, cupcakes, cakes, ice cream and other dessert items.
“I wanted to provide my loyal customers with a convenient location that would allow them to enjoy the delicacies that we have been providing through Creative Cakes for over 20 years,” McCoy said. “I remember creating memories at Kermit’s Bakery in downtown Tupelo with my family and I wanted to provide that same type of atmosphere for my customers.”
The business is opening in the Fairpark Crossing building, between Trustmark Bank and Edward Jones Investment.
Employees at Rosie’s will make the baked goods at the shop. Plus, they’ll sell hand-dipped ice cream and drinks. The business will face Main Street and is a short walk from the green space and fountain in Fairpark.
Rosie’s will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. McCoy said the store will have special hours in conjunction with downtown events.
Creative Cakes will continue to sell custom order cakes at its current location at 1422 E. Main St. in Tupelo. But the store will no longer carry cupcakes and other confections after the Fairpark store opens.
Creative Cakes will continue to carry cake decorating supplies as well as offer classes at its East Main Street location.
