FULTON – Tupelo native Alex Williamson has plans to open a new doughnut and sandwich shop in Fulton.
Sweet Cheeks Donut & Sammich Shop will be located on Main Street between downtown and the Itawamba Community College campus.
Williamson has been assistant baseball coach at ICC the past sixyears but is leaving to open the business. He said he has always loved food and decided to act when he saw an opening in the market.
The restaurant will serve breakfast and lunch.
Williamson said Sweet Cheeks will be the only place in Fulton serving hot, freshly made doughnut. In addition to doughnut, it will serve kolaches – a savory filled pastry – in the mornings
Hot and cold sandwiches will be freshly made and served on french bread. Sweet Cheeks also will offer homemade dressings and soups. Williamson plans to open the restaurant in mid-July.
