Elvis fan club to open office

TUPELO – The Tupelo Elvis Presley Fan Club is opening an office in Tupelo for the first time, according to the club president.
President Scott Reese on Monday confirmed the fan club is renting part of the location that formerly housed The Bistro on Main, a restaurant that relocated to Park Street. The club is down an alley that runs off Main Street and is near Beauty Motif, which Reese co-owns with his wife.
Reese said the office will sell club memberships, T-shirts, Elvis license plates and other Elvis paraphernalia. It will be staffed by club members and hours haven’t been set yet. Reese said the plan is to work with Tupelo Hardware and Elvis tour groups so the office will be open when Elvis-related tourists are downtown.
The office will have an open house Aug. 8-15 in conjunction with the anniversary of Elvis’ death. For more information, go to TupeloElvisPresleyFanClub.com.
