OXFORD – A second regional lawsuit against furniture foam manufacturers was transferred Monday to join similar legal cases being handled in Ohio.
The transfer was recorded in the Northern District of the U.S. District Court based in Oxford.
The lawsuit was filed April 20 by Henson Sleep Relief Inc. of Tupelo against 11 manufacturers.
Similar complaints filed around the country, including another by five north Mississippi furniture makers, are before the Ohio Northern District court.
The case reportedly stretches into Europe with total claims alleged into the $100 million category.
