Gene Pierce has been named vice president of supply chain and Greg Morgan has been named merchandise manager for motion furniture for Lane Furniture

n Gene Pierce has been named vice president of supply chain and Greg Morgan has been named merchandise manager for motion furniture for Lane Furniture.
* Pierce has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain management. He was most recently operations leader with Philips Lighting-Day-Brite. He also was vice president of supply chain for True Temper Sports.
He received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Mississippi State University.
* Morgan was director of merchandising for Bauhaus Furniture. He also has worked for Mastercraft Fabrics as a sales representative for the southwest region.
Morgan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
n Renee Robbins Hughes has been named branch manager of Farmers amp& Merchants Bank in Mooreville.
Hughes joined FMB in the summer of 2008.
She is a graduate of Tupelo High School and attended Itawamba Community College.
Hughes was a buyer for Reed’s department store in Tupelo for four years and was senior sales manager of the ATamp&T retail stores in Tupelo for 14 years.
n Dr. Skip Robertson has been selected as the recipient of North Mississippi Medical Center’s 2008-2009 Golden Tongue Blade Award.
Robertson has been a pediatrician at North Mississippi Pediatrics for 22 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and his medical training from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and then went on to complete a pediatrics fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital.
n The Northeast Mississippi Human Resources Association – SHRM Chapter 196 has been awarded merit chapter designation by the Society for Human Resource Management.
The Northeast Mississippi chapter was one of 45 chapters receiving the designation in SHRM’s Southeast Region, which is comprised of 10 states, the District of Columbia, the Atlantic Council and 160 affiliated chapters.
