Amory Flowers and Gifts
Barbara Howell started Amory Flowers and Gifts about 40 years ago. In 1988, her daughters, Jere Duke and Melissa Murphy, bought the business.
The florist and gift shop is in a historic home on Third Avenue in downtown Amory. Amory Flowers is a full-serve florist and offers commercial and residential decorating services.
Duke and her crew have regular business hours, but they are always on call to help families with funerals.
And, the shop will deliver up to 30 miles away.
The business also sells stuffed animals, balloons, bath products, candles, gourmet food items, potpourri, clothes, purses, accessories, cookbooks, picture frames, furniture, lamps, pottery, baby products, MSU/Ole Miss items and other gifts.
The Mississippi-made gifts are very popular with customers, she said.
“We have a little of everything,” Duke said. “If you can’t find it here, you don’t need it.”
