Advice: Whether I have 100 clients in a day, whoever I’m with is the most important person to me at that time.

ABERDEEN – The Lann name has been a fixture in Aberdeen commerce for generations, but for the sixth generation, success is found outside the home improvement sector.
Abby Lann found her calling in the beauty industry and opened Apple’s Skincare and Spa two years ago.
“Whether they needed a facial or just needed for somebody to listen to them talk, I feel like I’m making clients feel good about themselves,” she said. “When I have a customer, I care about only that person. Whether I have 100 clients in a day, whoever I’m with is the most important person to me at that time.”
After finishing aesthetics school and working at Columbus’ Bella Derma Organic Spa, she had the opportunity to open her own business.
“It’s great being able to bring something like this into a small town where you couldn’t previously find certain makeup, skincare products and organic care products,” she said. “It gives the community something different.”
Services such as facials, spray tans, waxing and brow art bring clientele from around the region.
The business’ name, Apple, was her great-grandmother’s nickname.
“The name is my way of honoring my family while keeping it simple,” she said.
