Making things that make people smile is at the heart of Joyce Clark’s work. Clark has owned Clark’s Parish Street Florist for 13 years and has made the arrangements and gifts and delivered them to her customers and friends around the community.
“I love my work and it can be hectic because we work hard to get it just right and delivered at just the right time,” said Clark.
Flowers – both fresh-cut and silk – are a key part of Clark’s business, but Clark’s also offers a complete line of candles, wreaths, cards and even purses and caps.
The store also has a large variety of ribbons and bows to tailor each arrangement or gift.
“Flowers change a room and we urge businesses and factories to try it the next time they host an event,” said Clark. “If you are entertaining in the home, an arrangement for the table or your living room makes the room brighter.”
The company provides flowers for local churches and civic events, too.
And Clark’s Parish Street Florist is a family affair. Joyce works with her daughters Connie Rucker, Patty Turman and Susie Baynham. They have most recently been joined by granddaughter Brittney Baynham.
Clark’s Parish Street Florist sells gift bears, potpourri, Russell Stover candy, memorial books and balloons.
