Kringle’s Christmas Store opens

TUPELO – It’s a new store with an old name in a familiar location.
Did you get all that?
Kringle’s Christmas Store officially opens today inside the Village Green store on West Main Street.
As the name suggests, Kringle’s sells all things Christmas-related.
Trees, ornaments, decorations, gifts and collectibles – the store is resplendent in red, green, gold and other colors and shades of the season.
The store also features trees, wreaths and garlands. Custom design and consulting also are available.
Jim Troxler, who owns Village Green, has split the building in half, with Kringle’s on the left and Village Green on the right.
“For several years, we opened Kringle’s in malls in the Jackson area,” he said. “We’re not doing that this year, only opening here in Tupelo.”
Troxler, who’s been in business for 32 years, also is in the process of closing Village Green. Earlier this year, he decided to close the gift and collectibles shop.
“We wanted to keep the stores separate, even though we’re sharing the same location,” he said.
Markdowns continue on the Village Green side.
Kringle’s Christmas Store will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The grand-opening celebration is today and Saturday.
Troxler said Kringle’s will stay open through the end of January.
