Lee County Restaurant Inspections

By Carlie Kollath/NEMS Daily Journal

The Mississippi Department of Health regularly inspects restaurants and food facilities.
The facilities are graded from A to C. “A” is the best. “C” is the equivalent of failing, but the inspection isn’t bad enough to merit the closure of the restaurant. Any restaurant with a C gets a follow-up within 10 days.
The following Lee County facilities were inspected between 5/8 and 5/14:
A’s

Golden Living Center
Mooreville High School
Mooreville Elementary School
Longhorn Steak House
B’s

None
C’s

None

The health department has the following disclaimer:
“Data in this system come from two very different systems. If in doubt about any facility, call the responsible health department. Data are for informational purposes, not enforcement.”

The health department also has the option of revising the reports.
