New restaurant to open

TUPELO – Flat Tire Grille has signed a lease for the former Ruby Tuesday location inside The Mall at Barnes Crossing.
James Bryan is the owner. He previously owned Flat Tire Burger in Saltillo before it burned down.
Flat Tire Grille will have a full menu and full bar, he said. He plans to have several beers on tap.
Food will include sandwiches, burgers, steaks, seafood, appetizers, frozen custard and milkshakes.
“It’s a restaurant where the men can go and get them a beer and an appetizer while the women shop,” he said.
The restaurant is next to Ulta in the space most recently occupied by Varsity Grille, which has no connection to Flat Tire Grille.
Bryan is repainting and renovating the space and hopes to have the restaurant open in mid-July to early August. He plans to keep the outdoor patio seating as well.
Tentative hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
