Tupelo native Tim Earnest had been promoted to executive vice president of real estate company Simon Management Group Inc. He was senior vice president of the company.
Earnest, a 1979 graduate of Tupelo High School, has been with Simon since 1986.
He began his career with Simon as an assistant mall manager at Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio. He has managed properties in Oklahoma, Oregon, Kansas and Indiana. Since 1996, he also has been regional vice president, division vice president and director of shopping center management
Earnest earned his B.S. degree in business administration from Mississippi State University in 1982 and an MBA from Phillips University in 1988.

Lynn Phillips-Gaines has joined the Forbes Investor Team that offers comments and insight on the top financial news as it is being made.
Phillips-Gaines is an investment planner for Raymond James Financial Services in Starkville. The Forbes Investor Team is not an affiliate of Raymond James Financial Services.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University.

Chuck Counce has joined Haire Wealth Management as a financial adviser.
He is an LPL registered financial adviser with 10 years of experience.

Jeff Houston has been named news director for WTVA and WLOV.
He will be responsible for daily news content for WTVA, WLOV, and
Houston comes from WAVY-TV in Norfolk, Va., where he served as an executive producer from 2006 to 2009. He has also worked as an executive producer in Jacksonville, Fla., where his late newscast at WTEV-TV was awarded a regional Edward R. Murrow for best newscast in 2006.
He also worked as a news producer at WAGA-TV in Atlanta and at WRDW-TV in Augusta, Ga., where he received the best newscast award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters in 2000. Houston started his television news career at WRDW in 1997 as an assignment editor.
He is a graduate of Georgia College and State University.
