Morgan Webb Files has been promoted to vice president of advertising for Lane Home Furnishings.
Files, a Mississippi State University graduate, joined Lane in 1997 and has spent the last 12 years in merchandising and advertising. Last fall, she helped develop and launch the Lane Home Entertainment Road Show Tour.
Files also played a key role in the April 2009 rollout of Lane’s new consumer Web site.
Jessica Crawley of Pontotoc has been promoted to agency coordinator at Robinson and Associates in Tupelo. In her new position, she will work in office management, media and traffic for the 25-year-old firm.
Crawley has been with the agency for three years and before that served as junior staff assistant for the men’s basketball program at the University of Mississippi.
She graduated from North Pontotoc High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi in 1995.
Bethany C. Bryant has joined the law firm of Mitchell, McNutt and Sams in the Tupelo office. She will concentrate her practice on the defense of medical and other professional liability claims and other personal injury and general litigation matters.
She received a B.S. in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1991, and she received a Master’s degree in nursing administration in 2001. She graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2008.
Wynn Coley has been named Employee of the Month for June for Franklin Collection Service in Tupelo.
Wynn was hired as a client representative and has recently been promoted to accounts receivable specialist.
Todd Bates, owner of J & B Services in Tupelo, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Mississippi Trucking Association.
Bates is a native of Tupelo.
He is the second generation owner of J & B Services, a truckload carrier founded by his father, Jerry Bates, in 1986. He started working for the company at age 15 and purchased the company from his father in 2002.
He attended college at St. Louis Community College and the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
James M. Brown, Larry J. Dennis, Roy Simmons and Mark Willcutt of JESCO Inc. have completed the requirements for certification as construction health and safety technicians.
The examination covers safety and health inspections, general safety training and safety orientation, safety and health record keeping, hazard communication compliance, safety analysis and planning, accident investigations, program management and administration, OSHA and other inspections.
