Dr. C. K. White, a Tupelo obstetrician, has been named to the community bank board of BancorpSouth in Tupelo.
A Fulton native, White graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School, Itawamba Community College and the University of Mississippi. He received his medical training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he received a master of science degree in pathology, a doctor of medicine degree, was a resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology and was chief administrative resident.
His medical career has included service as a staff physician at the Mississippi State Hospital in Jackson, clinical instructor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and private practice at Sanders Clinic for Women in Tupelo.
White has been named Surgeon of the Year at North Mississippi Medical Center in 1985 and Physician of the Year at the medical center in 1991. He served as chairman of the medical staff of North Mississippi Medical Center in 1996, serving on the executive board for North Mississippi Health Services from 2000 to 2006 and chairman of the executive board from 2006 to 2008.

Chris Sokol has been named associate company engineer for B & B Concrete Co. Inc. in Tupelo. He will be responsible for quality control and performance -elated issues related to concrete, as well as maintenance and environmental issues associated with the concrete batch plants.
Before joining B & B Concrete, Sokol spent the last 17 years in a management position with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the design division. He holds B.S. in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University and is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Mississippi.

John Bryson has been named manager of finance and accounting at B & B Concrete. He will be responsible for the accounting and financial functions for the company and affiliated companies.
Before joining B & B Concrete, Bryson held management positions with Hancock Fabrics and Mississippi Power Co. during the past 29 years. He has a B.S. in banking & finance and accounting from Mississippi State University and an MBA in finance from the University of Southern Mississippi.
