The Crosstown location of Walgreens appears to be the only store that will not close at all for the Christmas holidays, according to an informal Daily Journal survey. The store will continue its regular 24/7 hours.
Across the street, CVS plans to close at midnight Christmas Eve and then reopen Christmas Day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The bulk of the stores around the Barnes Crossing area will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Toys R Us has the latest closing in the district at 10 p.m.
Downtown, The Main Attraction will be the last retailer to close at 6 p.m.
Both Walmart locations in Tupelo close at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve and will not reopen until Dec. 26. Christmas Day is the only day of the year Walmart closes.
