IUKA – Two Tishomingo County businesses this week announced expansions that will result in an additional $8 million investment in the county, said Tishomingo County Development Foundation spokesman Gary Matthews.
G&G Steel’s approximately $5 million expansion will be used to create a manufacturing space for some of the largest component products using the inland waterway system.
The company estimates 25 to 35 new jobs will be created and the size of its building will double. Tishomingo County received a $277,500 grant from the Mississippi Development Authority for the building modifications.
Contract Fabricators Inc. announced a $3 million investment in its waterfront facility to expand its manufacture of pressure vessels, columns, cyclones, heat exchangers and other fabrications for petroleum refining.
