Tupelo coffee shop to move to McCullough

TUPELO – Joe Joe’s Espresso is moving to McCullough Boulevard, marking the third location for the business.
Owner Joe Moffatt said that Friday will be the last day for the South Gloster location, which shares a building with McAlister’s Deli.
Monday, the business will open at 1960 McCullough Blvd. in the Select Connect building, which is across the street from Flowerdale Marketplace.
Moffatt said the move will lower his costs because his father owns the McCullough building.
The new location, Moffatt said, is closer to the people who buy his specialty coffee beans.
In addition, the new space has more room to expand the store’s roasting business, which Moffatt said is the business segment with the most growth potential.
The business started in the Renasant Center for IDEAs, after Moffatt transitioned from his P.B. Loco franchise. In fall 2008, Joe Joe’s moved into its current location, which is the former Uptown Coffee shop.
Moffatt said the South Gloster space will go up for lease once he leaves.
The McCullough location will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Moffatt has not decided if the store will be open on Saturdays. It closes on Sundays.
