ABERDEEN – Michael Todd of Byhalia pleaded guilty Tuesday to a federal gun charge.
Todd, 45, admitted to the U.S. District Court that he illegally possessed a 12-gauge shotgun as a convicted felon.
He was indicted on the charge Feb. 24 and faced trial set for Nov. 14.
After a 20-minute hearing in Aberdeen, Todd was held in custody by the U.S. marshals until he’s sentenced. That date won’t be set until completion of a background report to aid Judge Sharion Aycock with his sentence.
He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
