TUPELO – The Caron Gallery celebrated its first anniversary Thursday and unveiled its new name – Caron/Prince Art Gallery.
The new name reflects the co-ownership of Kim Caron and Ashley Prince. Prince has been a partner since last year, Caron said.
“We added ‘art’ because we wanted to make sure people knew it was a gallery of art not of furniture or something else,” Caron said.
The owners celebrated the business’ birthday with a ribbon cutting and a public reception at its space at 122 W. Main St. in downtown Tupelo.
The gallery has 40 Mississippi artists.
“We will always have Mississippi art,” Caron said. “We feel there is such talent here. You can find good art in Mississippi. Beautiful art.”
The gallery also does in-home art consultations and art classes.
Plus, the space is available for private parties and receptions.
The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 am. to 3 p.m.
