OXFORD – Caleb Carrothers was found guilty on all counts Thursday in a Lafayette County court.
He now could face the death penalty for the July 11, 2009, deaths of Frank Clark and his son, Taylor Clark, and aggravated assault for the nonfatal shooting of the wife and mother, Tonya Clark, at their Road 4053 residence.
Jurors were chosen from a pool of Lee County residents, but the trial was be held at the Lafayette County Courthouse in Oxford. A change of venue was granted after defense counsel cited the “heightened standard of review” necessary for a capital murder trial and extensive media coverage in Lafayette County.
Sentencing will be Friday in Oxford.
