ATLANTA (AP) — Political strategist and CNN contributor James Carville will speak July 23 at the Mississippi Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson-Hamer Dinner.
The event will be held at the Jackson’s Convention Complex at 7 p.m.
Carville headed Bill Clinton’s first campaign for president in 1992 and is known for making the motto, “It’s the economy, stupid,” the mantra of Clinton’s campaign.
Carville is married to Mary Matalin, who ran Republican President George H.W. Bush’s re-election effort.
