Catledge to serve prison term in Florida

TUPELO – Former attorney William Catledge of Tupelo will report to a federal prison in Pensacola, Fla., the U.S. Bureau of Prisons decided.
Catledge will serve a 35-month sentence for guilty pleas to income tax evasion and mail fraud. He also will pay restitution to the Internal Revenue Service, Chubb Insurance of Texas and M&F Bank of Tupelo.
Senior U.S. District Judge ordered Catledge to turn himself in to the facility by 2 p.m. Jan. 4. He also asked for his placement in a facility with a drug rehabilitation program, after Catledge admitted problems with substance abuse.
Before he was sentenced Nov. 9, Catledge gave up his law license.
