OXFORD – Dr. Dan Jones finished a day-long set of two-way interviews with University of Mississippi constituency groups at 3:30 p.m. The Board of Trustees, State Institutions of Higher Learning, will be meet at 4 p.m. to discuss the reviews submitted from those interviews. After they vote on his hiring to succeed Robert Khayat as chancellor of the university, board members will host a press conference.
Jones, who currently is vice chancellor over the university’s Medical Center campus in Jackson, is expected easily to be approved.
