WASHINGTON – The chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., will step down next week after less than six months on the job.
Nunnelee announced Friday that Diane Hawks will move back to DeSoto County to serve as deputy campaign manager for state Sen. Billy Hewes, who is running for lieutenant governor.
“Diane has been an integral part of our office and I will always appreciate her efforts on my behalf,” Nunnelee said in the release. “She has done an outstanding job in recruiting and overseeing a talented staff to serve the people of north Mississippi.”
