Child pornography trial begins, one enters plea

ABERDEEN – Brianna McMillen of Tupelo pleaded guilty Monday to one count of possession of computers containing child pornography.
McMillen, 24, however, will be allowed to withdraw that plea, if an appeals court decides that earlier motions on her behalf were erroneously overruled, court records show.
A federal grand jury indicted her on two counts on March 25, 2010, and she has been free on bond since then.
Also indicted on two counts was Christopher McMillen, 31, of Tupelo, who went on trial today.
They both pleaded guilty in January, but the court rejected their plea agreements.
She faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, while he faces up to 30 years in prison, if found guilty.
