TUPELO – Veteran’s Park will get a bit of a facelift after a fish fry on Thursday.
The Tupelo Luncheon Civitan Club is hosting the event at the Tupelo Automobile Museum, and all proceeds will go to replace the flags at Veteran’s Park.
“After the flags stay out in the weather, they need to be retired and replaced with the honor and dignity that they deserve,” said Russ Wilson, the club’s vice president and program chairman.
Any extra funds will be given to the Parks and Recreation Department for further improvements to the park.
The fish fry, which is dine-in or carryout, includes two fish filets, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw for $10.
“The Civitans are well-known for our catfish,” Wilson said.
The $10 ticket includes a 25 percent off entry to the Tupelo Automobile Museum.
