Cocaine conviction nets prison time for Pontotoc man

OXFORD – Buford Cornelius Floyd, 34, of Pontotoc was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison for distribution of cocaine.
U.S. District Judge W. Allen Pepper Jr. in Greenville also tacked on a five-year supervised release, once his prison time has run.
In November, Floyd pleaded guilty to one count of an indictment charging him with distributing more than 5 grams of a mixture containing cocaine.
Where he will serve his sentence will be determined by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
