Columbus woman dead after head-on collision

COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — A 53-year-old Columbus woman has died after her vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle.

Mississippi State Trooper Criss Turnipseed tells WTVA TV Florence Little was driving southbound on Highway 45 north of Highway 373 Saturday night when her vehicle collided with another car, driven by 25-year-old Michael McManus, of Columbus.

Turnipseed said Little was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle where she was pronounced dead.

McManus was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
