Contracts signed for regional jail construction

CORINTH – Officers of the Tulsa, Okla., company awarded the contract to build the Alcorn County Justice Center, as well as subcontractors, were in Corinth on Wednesday for a formal signing of the contracts.
Representing Flintco, Inc., the company awarded the more than $17 million contract, was Don Hutcherson, vice president for management operations.
Also on hand were Bobby Smith, who will be the project manager, and representatives for several of the subcontractors on the project.
Alcorn County supervisors expect to have proceeds of the bond issue in hand by Friday to give the go-ahead for dirt work to begin.
