By NEMS Daily Journal

CORINTH – The Corinth SportsPlex received an $8,500 grant award from the Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote its sports programs.
The money will be used to gain a website presence, produce print promotional materials, purchase newspaper and radio advertising and make fencing improvements at the baseball fields.
The CVB board approved the grant request, presented by SportsPlex director Will Lowrey, during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday.
Lowrey noted that the SportsPlex has hosted three baseball tournaments so far this season, bringing at least 10 teams and their families for each event and adding to the hotel and restaurant business in Corinth.
