CORINTH – The Alcorn County Fair will return this fall for the first time in more than a dozen years, and on Tuesday the Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau board approved funding support of $3,000 for the event.
The fair is planned for Sept. 13-17 at the Crossroads Arena and will dovetail with the county livestock show, which has become increasingly successful over the past several years.
Other events include a cheer contest, an FCA/Christian night, a bluegrass night, antique tractor pull, Fairest of the Fair beauty pageant, rodeo, amusement rides and the annual 4-H Day at the extension office next to the arena.
Sponsors are still being sought. Anyone interested can call the Crossroads Arena at (662) 287-7779.
