Corinth board hears sign complaint

By NEMS Daily Journal

CORINTH – Corinth business owner Jay Baxter appeared before the Board of Aldermen in Tuesday’s regular meeting to complain that his business signs have been removed from along U.S. Highway 72, and he is being treated unfairly.
Baxter read a list of businesses that he said have signs similarly placed along the thoroughfare, but says his signs are the only ones repeatedly removed for city sign ordinance violations. He requested the signs be returned or that he be reimbursed.
Mayor Tommy Irwin told Baxter that the list he presented would be checked out and his concerns addressed so that all businesses were being treated equitably.
