Corinth CVB awards grant for Civil War Relic Show

CORINTH – Organizers of Corinth’s third Civil War Relic Show, scheduled for March, hope a $3,500 grant will help bring an important artifact to the event.
The Col. W.P. Rogers Camp of Sons of Confederate Veterans has been in discussions with the St. Louis, Mo.-based owner of Col. Rogers’ sword, urging him to bring the sword to Corinth as the city begins its 150th Civil War commemorations.
The Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau awarded the grant to the SCV group to support advertising and publicity for the relic show that attracted about 700 visitors to the 2011 show.
