BILOXI – The Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau won a top award Tuesday from the Mississippi Tourism Association.
MTA gave Corinth its CVB of the Year award for the $500,000-$749,000 category. The award was presented Tuesday at the annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism held in Biloxi.
The awards recognize industry leaders around the state and other individuals and organizations that promote Mississippi tourism.
Winners were selected on general evaluation of qualifications such as exceptional efforts, innovation, uniqueness and measurable results.
Other award winners from Northeast Mississippi were:
* Holly Springs Tourism & Recreation Bureau – CVB of the Year award, $0-$249,000;
* State Rep. Steve Holland, District 16, Lee County – Governmental Friend of Tourism award;
* The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal – travel media award for newspapers.
