CORINTH – Sign-up for Corinth residents who want C Spire’s Fiber to the Home is a couple of weeks away, but about 100 residents attended a Monday meeting to find out what they need to do to be among the first.

C Spire representatives Steve Davidson and Allen McIntosh presented a summary of services, costs and process, then answered specific questions about where rollout of the 1 gigabit Internet service goes from here.

The website where Corinth residents can sign up should be ready soon, Davidson said. Pre-registration requires a $10 deposit for households to indicate an intention to sign up for service.

For current C Spire cellphone customers service packages range from $70 to $150, with Internet service at the core. High definition TV and home phone service are available as options. Customers who do not currently have C Spire cellphone service would pay $80 to $160 for the variety of packages.

Corinth officials have put together teams who will promote signups across the city, and hope to have a sufficient interest in some neighborhoods to begin connecting service early in the new year. One element of the pre-registration website will be a tracker to show how many more households will qualify a neighborhood to have service connected.
