CORINTH – Victims in two separate Corinth shootings over the past five days are recovering from their wounds, with one suspect in custody and another sought by police.

Police are still searching for suspect Francisco Elizalde, a Hispanic male with no other description given, in the Saturday shooting of Jesus Perez, 28, of Norwood Street in Corinth, said Corinth Chief of Detectives Capt. Ralph Dance.

Perez was shot at his home about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dance said, and Elizalde was identified as the shooter, who drove away from the residence in a GMC Yukon vehicle, according to witnesses.

A shooting at Young and Proper Streets Monday evening wounded Andraea Stovall, 29, of Boyd Drive in Corinth, Dance said.

Stovall was reported to be recovering from a Tuesday surgery as of Wednesday morning, Dance said.

Bacarra Hill, 26, of Johns Street, Corinth, was arrested Tuesday morning in the shooting after turning himself in, Dance said. Bond was expected to be set Wednesday afternoon.

Both incidents remain under investigation.

Anyone with information about Elizalde’s whereabouts is asked to call the Corinth Police Department at (662) 286-3377 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississipi at (800) 773-8477.
