CORINTH – Sirdon Companion Greer, 27, of Corinth, made a second appearance in Corinth Municipal Court on Thursday to waive his right to a preliminary hearing.

Greer is represented by Corinth attorney Clay Nails on charges that include two counts of murder and one count of arson in the shooting deaths of brothers James Copeland, 67, and Jerry Copeland, 64, at their home on Feb. 13.

Nails said he will file a writ of habeus corpus to have bond reduced, which remains at $1.2 million – $500,000 on each murder charge and $200,000 on the arson charge.

Greer remains in Alcorn County Jail.
