CORINTH, Miss. (AP) — City officials have applied for a grant of more than $4 million that would be dedicated to a drainage project in the city.
The Daily Corinthian reports (http://bit.ly/OXG4VP ) the grant request, to the federal Economic Development Administration, would cover about 80 percent of the project’s estimated cost. The city of Corinth would cover the remaining $1 million or so cost.
The drainage work would involve basins that capture and contribute rain run-off to Elam Creek and Phillips Creek.
