Corinth shooting suspect sought

CORINTH – A suspect is still at large in connection with a Friday night shooting in Corinth.

Authorities are searching for Justin Jamal Heger, 21, of Madison Street, Corinth, who is accused of shooting Brent Asberry, said Detective Capt. Ralph Dance.

Asberry was shot one time in the stomach with a .22-caliber handgun but is expected to recover, Dance said.

The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Friday at Meigg and Cemetery streets.

Heger is considered dangerous and is described as a black male, about 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
