Coroner: Fire not to blame for firefighter's death

SALTILLO – A preliminary autopsy report showed that the death of a volunteer fireman was not due to the house fire he had helped to put out shortly before his death Sunday.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green said the exact cause of 26-year-old Joshua Wilkes’ death is still being investigated. But, she said, it was not related to the fire.
Wilkes collapsed in a convenience store after going inside to get a drink after helping to put out the fire.
