Court orders halt to jewelry sales

By NEMS Daily Journal

ABERDEEN – A U.S. District court ordered Amory jewelry store operator Michael Tyree to stop selling Ronaldo Collection products until resolution of a trademark infringement lawsuit.
Wednesday, Senior Judge Glen H. Davidson signed the preliminary injunction agreed on by both sides after the Kentucky-based Ronaldo filed suit recently.
Tyree does business at Lisa’s Jewelry & Gifts and Benche Jeweler.
Ronaldo has sued several other jewelry outlets in the South, claiming they are selling jewelry that’s copied from his trademark designs and calling it Ronaldo.
When the legal action was filed, Tyree said he did not intentionally do anything wrong.
