DA’s office moves into historic Tupelo house

TUPELO – The District Attorney’s office moved out of a small office on the second floor of the Lee County Justice Center into the building most recently known at the Alpha House on Franklin Street.

District Attorney Trent Kelly said he is excited to be in the new building because it gives much-needed space.

He said they are also excited to have the opportunity to take care of the historic downtown Tupelo building.

When the Alpha House boys home had to close its doors, Lee County Administrator Sean Thompson said they thought the District Attorney’s Office would be a good fit for the county-owned building.
