CITRONELLE, Ala. — Searchers found human remains today in the woods off a rural Alabama road believed to be the daughter of a man already charged with murdering the girl and her younger brother, police said.
Mobile Police Maj. Kara Rose said search teams found the remains at 9 a.m., just half an hour after authorities began scouring the woods. The skeletal remains were found about 40 feet from the rural county road and just a couple of hundred yards from a house, Rose said.
John DeBlase, 27, is charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of corpse abuse. Skeletal remains found Wednesday in the woods of rural Mississippi are believed to belong to his 3-year-old son Chase.
