OXFORD – The attorney for Dwight Bowling, the football coach accused in a sex-with-minors case, has asked that his March 7 trial be delayed.
The attorney, Christi McCoy, filed the motion Wednesday.
Bowling is being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center. He faces federal charges as well as charges in Itawamba and Monroe counties.
According to the court documents filed Wednesday, the U.S. attorney does not object to a delay.
